OUR 2013 ACCOMPLISHMENTS

In 2013, ECO City Farms:

A Summer Youth Program participant at the Autumn Woods farm, with the Autumn Woods apartment complex  behind

A Summer Youth Program participant at the Bladensburg farm, with the Autumn Woods apartment complex behind

> Provided fresh produce to more than 1,600 people through the CSA and farmers market

> Educated more than 500 kids and adults on our farm tours

> Provided 600 hours of formal urban agriculture training

> Gave 15 local youth four weeks of training on how to grow and cook food

> Grew healthy food at our Bladensburg farm

> Advocated for a county zoning amendment to allow urban farming in Prince George’s County

> Received more than 2,100 hours of volunteer support for our farm and organization

> Grew to a staff of six full-time talented and energetic people, and secured significant grant funding for programs.
